A VERY VERY PROUD MAMA TODAY......I dragged my 14 year old son with me every where today...walked to the bank, the pet store, the dollar store, then on our way to grocery shopping some one had stopped to ask us for some change to help his girlfriend who was having a hard time feeding her child and herself...I simply smiled and said Im sorry I cant help you with any change but I would be happy to take you into this grocery store and buy you what you need.....he paused and said my girlfriend is across the road doing laundry and she has a list I said thats fine wed be happy to wait for her, so away he went. My son and I waited 15 minutes when my son said I really like to help people with a grin that covered his entire face My heart was so full at that moment because....him being an early teenager I fully expected him to say Really!! Were going to STAND HERE AND WAIT??? We are going spend money on someone when we struggle ourselves?? The man returned to tell us Thank you so much from his girlfriend but she just received an expectant government payment, my son and I smiled and said wed still be happy to help but he declined. As we walked away....I notice my son smile bigger, stand straighter add a little more bounce to his step and we chatted.....I thought to myself, I hope he remembers this day and the way it made him feel :) I have never loved any one person more that I love my son Cameron but today.....it was 10 fold
