A VETERAN ‘NEW Fathers 4 Justice’ campaigner who allegedly scaled Exeter Cathedral says he is planning to call the Archbishop of Canterbury as a witness in his court case. Jolly Stanesby, from Ivybridge, was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage after allegedly climbing up the cathedral on Father’s Day in June. The 48-year-old campaigner is currently on police bail, and is expecting his case to come to court at some point in the next few months. Peter Moore, spokesman for NEW Fathers 4 Justice, said: “If Devon and Cornwall Police press charges as expected we will be calling the Archbishop of Canterbury as a witness to explain why the Church of England fails to support fathers after family breakdown. “The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby is head of the Church of England so we hold him answerable to their policies. “These policies played a major part in the reason why New Fathers 4 Justice chose to scale Exeter Cathedral.” (Jolly please let me know the date of your court case.)
