A Very Human Book In the first place I believe the book is divinely inspired. In the second place I believe the Bible because it tells the true about humans. The first couple manages to get themselves kicked out of paradise. One son kills another over religion. Then humans decide to build a tower to impress their neighbors and wake up one morning unable to communicate with each other. Noah is saved from the flood then gets naked and drunk in his tent. When his son laughs at him Noah curses his grandson. David the great hero of the Old Testament was also one of the greatest womanizers of all time. Jesus quits the carpenter shop and joins up with his hype cousin John. Then his family thinks he has gone crazy and tries to talk him into coming home. He gives them a rather curt answer and refuses to go home and be the good son to Mary. He gets criticized for associating with the wrong people. He talks to and makes unbelievable promises to a woman who has been married so many times she has given up on marriage and is living with a man who is not her husband. One of his most famous stories is about son who took his share of the fathers goods lost it all and comes home to be forgiven and reinstated. Another sons who promised to work and did not, his brother said no I will not work and did. I know the early church was a Baptist church because there so many times the early Christians in the book of Acts agreed and disagreed with each other. Then our hero Paul the greatest missionary of all time refused a halo and called himself the chief of sinners. Said he knew what was right but could not do it and times wondered if he would make it into heaven. I could write several more pages but I think you can see to point. We are imperfect creatures yet God forgives and uses us.
