A Very Merry Face Time Christmas! It was Monday night that it hit me, the lovely stomach bug. Yes, perfect timing as usual. It seems every Christmas I get hit with something and this year it is the stomach bug! All year long I manage to fight off most everything other than a cold here and there and then come this special holiday when I would love to be with my family and it happens. Two days of not eating and mostly sleeping and Im still not back on my feet completely. This is when my lovely daughter stepped in and offered to take Brandon. She arrived today with Chloe and picked up all the Christmas presents for tonights Christmas Eve celebration at my sisters where we were all going to celebrate our Christmas since the boys are heading to their grandparents tomorrow in Connecticut. Shortly after Jennifer left with Brandon, she called me and asked if I wanted to Face Time with she, Chloe and Brandon while they opened up the gifts I bought them. This certainly wasnt my ideal way of celebrating Christmas with my children, but it was the next best thing. Seeing the kids smile after each gift they opened made me so happy and almost made me forget I was sick. Flash forward a few hours when my phone rang again to Face Time from my sisters for the family Christmas celebration. Philip was first up to open his gifts from me. He didnt let me down by hamming it up for the camera. As he opened each gift, he bunched the tissue into a ball and threw it at the camera. It was also supposed to be my first time meeting my great Nephew, Oliver. I was so looking forward to meeting this bundle of joy. Every one seemed to be having a great time. I got a tour of the kitchen and all the delicious food thanks to my daughter. (I could have honestly done without seeing all the food). Then somehow the phone ended up in my son, Philips hands and he gave me a close up view of him eating something. I actually cant determine exactly what it was, but it didnt help my stomach any! Thank you Philip! You did make me laugh though. For not being with my family on Christmas, Face Time made it the next best thing. Merry Christmas to all of my Facebook friends. I wish you and your families the merriest of Christmass. Remember the true spirit of Christmas is to spread joy and happiness. Practice random acts of kindness every chance you get. Kindness matters. PEACE, LOVE AND JOY
