A WEEK OF FIRSTS IN #WesternNorthCarolina: (last update of the day I promise) In many high elevated areas of of the mountain (especially those of you in counties near the TN/NC border), you could very well have your first freeze/frost this weekend. For most ski resorts and perhaps as low in elevation as Highlands and Banner Elk, lows could dip to at least freezing if not below (upper 20s in spots?). By mid-week, a strong trough will bring an even colder shot of weather bringing the first frost/freeze of the season to lower elevations by late week. We could also see the first snow flurries of the season for those of you in favored upslope snow territory near the TN/NC border. Note I said snow FLURRIES and NOT snowstorm. But nonetheless fun to talk about!
