A WORD FROM OUR STAFF: Simple words, simple hug: The YWAM Boston team blessed this city with their Encounter tour. They present a drama and worship that leads the viewers to see a piece of Gods story and to open up their eyes to relationship with our Creator. While the team was here, they traveled from school to school, church to church, and to many more venues. God had opened the door for them to go to Wilson Christian Academy, and I got to tag along. The team presented Encounter (A story from Creation to the Cross) and then we entered into a passionate time of worship with the students. Towards the end of worship we had the opportunity to get into groups and pray with the students. I had a group about about 10 girls. There was one little girl that pulled on my heart strings. God had picked her out of the crowd. As soon as we were done praying as a group I asked her her name. She shyly whispered it; so much so that I couldnt make it out. The Lord spoke to me and said just pray. I asked if I could pray for her and she timidly nodded. I placed my hand on her shoulder closed my eyes and started to pray. As I prayed the Lord drop bombed me with His Spirit and the words started to flow. I said Amen and immediately as the word fell out of my mouth I felt these little arms grasp so tightly around my waste refusing to let go; her warm tears streaming down her face soaking my sweater. My arms responded and I held her there for 5 whole minutes telling God that I could stay there forever. I love seeing God move in such a tangible way that is so undeniable it humbles you to the very core. When we step out in simple obedience to His voice we get to see the unimaginable. -Jaden Studeny (DTS Staff)
