A WORD IN SEASON A Thoughtful Request David said to Gad, “I am in deep distress. Let me fall into the hands of the Lord, for his mercy is very great; but do not let me fall into human hands.”1 Chro. 21:13. King David was given an option in term of the punishment to be meted on him by God. His request here showed how thoughtful he was; his reasoning was vindicated by the outcome the Lord saw it and relented concerning the disaster and said to the angel who was destroying the people, “Enough! Withdraw your hand.” 1 Chro.21:15. Human beings are outrageously wicked! If David had fallen into humans hands, may be that would have been his end . May you not fall into human hands! As you respond with a resounding Amen to this prayer, think, would you act differently if others fall into your hands?
