A WORD IN SEASON With ObalOluwa IN WHOSE IMAGE OR LIKENESS? “When Adam was 130 years old, he became the father {of a son} in his own likeness, in his own image. He named him Seth.” Genesis 5:3 (GW) Adam was created in God’s image and according to His likeness. When he fell through disobedience, he lost God’s image and took the image of God’s enemy, Devil. This verse showed the most unfortunate event in man’s life. Adam populated the world with children born in his own fallen image, and likeness, not in God’s image. Little wonder, God’s decision to bring in the second Adam, who was created in the image of God and has the power to give life. I Cor. 15:45. Since God’s initial intention was to make human being like Himself, and that has not change. It is only those who are in the 2nd Adam, Christ, that are new creation. 2 Cor. 5:17. These are the only type of people through whom God can work. The question is where are you, in the 1st Adam or the 2nd Adam? This is what makes the big difference! Welcome to July and the second half of year 2013. A door of opportunity is opened to you. You shall walk into it and accomplish great things in Jesus name!
