Me: Baby, your schedule is getting really full & I know how much you love dance, but maybe we should consider lightening up your load. Her: Why? Me: Because youre only 9 & I dont want to be overworked as a child. Her: Mom, do you hear me complaining? I get really good grades, Im really good on the piano & dance is my passion. How can I be successful in something if I dont dedicate myself 100%. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices & accommodations for the things & people that you really love. I choose to sacrifice my schedule to accommodate the things that I love. Me: *blank stare* Ummm, yeah, sure. Ok, but if you change your mind... Her: *Giggling* Mom, trust me, thatll NEVER happen. Im good & Im gonna keep stretching myself to the limits until everyone sees how great I am. Me: I already see how great you are! (Insert mushy tv moment here). This girl gets her strength & energy from her mama. Im pretty sure she has an S on her chest.
