A: What was Messi doing the entire game?! B: Losing to the Germany National Football Team A: for a team that was supposedly rated a lot better than Argentina, it sure took em long enough to get a single goal B: Still got that single goal... didnt they? Against the second best team in the world, they got the goal. And what a beautiful goal too! Mmmmmmh.... Victory is sweet. So... hows it feel for an American to betray his country and cheer for another team... that loses? Lemme guess... 2018 youre cheering for Germany? Psssh. Fairweather fans. A: All Americans new that the US team would never make it to semifinals. football is the real American sport, so for us soccer fans in america, most of us (after were done doing our duty of cheering on our home team) move onto cheering on the next best thing, a team of which at least some of our family are (in my case Argentinian). and as for rooting for germany, youll never have to worry about me going for them B: Im sorry to hear you say that after your country loses, you can change allegiance so quickly. A: im simply enjoying the freedom of rooting on the team I would like to see win without being called a communist. the pleasures of living in murica. I think youre being a little over competitive mein freund. you have stuff all over your facebook about being in the US Army... a little ironic... B: Haha. I may live here, and Id give my life for my brothers and sisters in the army... But I was born a German, raised a German, and if I die as a soldier here after having faithfully and honorably served, will still bleed black, red, and gold. Nice FB stalking btw. A: wether ya like it or not (I would hope you would like it if youre fighting for it) but were both citizens of the same country. and if your fighting for it shouldnt you be rooting for it at some point even if you change to your home countrys team later on? its just patriotic courtesy mate and thank you I guess? B: Why would I root for a different team? Ive cheered for VFB Stuttgart (in the Bundesliga) and for the Germany National Football Team in every game since I was old enough to understand soccer. As for being a citizen... Im a citizen of heaven, reside in the USA, serve in the Army, and was born a German, with German heritage, culture, and blood. Its called being an immigrant. Backbone of this country, mate. BTW... research. Residents can join the Army on a green card. Nice try though. And... of the 10 things on top of my FB wall... which post screams Army? A: if you dont care for the US, you really shouldnt be fighting to protect it then. I mean if our entire army was comprised of people who didnt care about what they were fighting for... well it isnt the US army anymore B: Oh shut up. Youve never served a day in your life. We fight for each other. We fight for the constitution. But when it comes to soccer... Ive fought for the freedom to support whatever team I choose. Now shut your mouth, you arrogant fool, and realize that calling me a traitor because I cheer for the soccer team of the country I was born in is ridiculous. As ridiculous as your poor spelling, and your fair-weather fan-ning. I said Im a German. I said I was born in Germany, raised a German, and have German blood flowing through my veins. Correct me if Im wrong (oh noble resident of the Melting Pot of the World) But our country here is made up of immigrants. So if you call me a traitor for being an immigrant, for holding my home country dear, and for cheering for the land I was born in... youre not only arrogant, but idiotic. Unless of course a pasty white guy like you claims to be full-blooded Iroquois... you shouldnt be so quick to jump on immigrants. So maybe be quick to listen, slow to speak? A: haha ill admit I said a few arrogant things but... wow i would have never guessed you were a Christian B: Same to you... A: then we leave on good terms. good day to you fellow American B: Good night, fellow immigrant.
