A Wish Come True Just in Time for the Holidays! Santa came early at Easter Seals NH’s Madeline A. Galeucia Child Development Center. Thanks to the generosity of the Cogswell Benevolent Trust, the Galeucia family and the Arthur Getz Charitable Trust, a huge tractor trailer pulled up outside our door, filled with hundreds of boxes of Lakewood furniture, just the right size for little ones. For a long time, the staff at our Child Development Center had wished to refurnish the classrooms because the existing brightly colored, mismatched furniture was disorganizing for children with sensory impairments and other special needs. The donations, totaling more than $150,000, enabled us to refurnish our classrooms and buy new curriculum to improve children’s learning. This spring we will be able to renovate our playground. The children’s smiles said it all, as they opened boxes, tried out the new couches in the reading area, and played with math manipulatives. Our thanks to the generous donors!
