A Word of Encouragement You are who you are today because of what you have allowed your heart to dwell on. “As he thinks in his heart, so is he…” (Prov. 23:7). The things that you allow your heart to dwell on today are setting the course for your future. Dwelling on the negative words that others have spoken over you, or your own negative thoughts can only lead to defeat and loss in your life. “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” (Prov. 24:23) Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (Phil. 4:8) Praise Him for your life and the exceeding, abundant potential that is in you today. Don’t allow poverty thinking about yourself or your circumstances steal, kill and destroy your purpose and future. Declare His Word and unleash its power! Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! God has not given me a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me!
