A Word of Wisdom from a wonderful friend of ours: Sow, give or invest 7-8 ways and dont put all your eggs in one basket. According to the Old Testament law, every third year the tithes were spread out to other areas (orphans, widows, those in need) versus all being given to the temple in Jerusalem. Yes, the tithe was not given to just one temple! Read the Word!! We are to give as the Lord leads in various places as He directs. The tithe is all His. God commanded to diversify. Ponder the practical wisdom of not putting all your cash in one place. We should be Holy Spirit led in everything. Who knows what will happen to cash in banks, retirement funds, stocks, etc. Obeying this one verse could save us in these unstable times. Deut 14:28-29 At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year’s produce and store it in your towns, so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
