(Archive) A 19 year old man shot and wounded Sunday night by accidentally firing a handgun in the area of manipulating baths ferry terminal on the island municipality of Culebra, police said Monday. According to the preliminary report, Kevin Solis Arizmendi, a resident of the island municipality handled the gun about 10:30 pm, and accidentally detonated, and received a bullet wound in his right side. The boy was transported to the Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Culebra, and then was referred to the Medical Center in Rio Piedras, in stable condition. The police report indicates that Solis Arizmendi authorities did not provide any information regarding the firearm or its description or origin. The agent Karen Lee Torres, press officer of the Police Headquarters in Hato Rey, confirmed that the gun was not busy and there is no record of his whereabouts. Agents Corps Criminal Investigation Police in Fajardo continue the investigation.
