A bad day for Irish Water justs gets worse and worse. First a big congrats and well done to our Northside comrades who today bravely faced down GMC Sierra and the State in the High Courts today. Irish Waters contractors sought to extend the powers of their secured injunction to make it so protesters would not be able to protest within a seventy eight feet area of meter installations. Defense for the protesters successfully achieved an adjournment and also successfully refused to give an undertaking that the group before the courts would abide by the previous injunction but instead told the court that they would continue on in their own terms which is peaceful protest. The case was adjourned until Wed 5 November and the protesters were free to leave until then with no imposed restrictions. Fianna Fail Councillor Jim O Callaghan,Denis O Briens Legal Representative and RTEs Miriam O Callaghans brother will then on that date have to prove that the protesters named had acted contrary to the previous injunction.
