A banker, a construction company owner and a laid-off autoworker - TopicsExpress

A banker, a construction company owner and a laid-off autoworker are walking down the street when they stumble upon a magic lamp. They rub it and out pops a genie, who offers each one a wish. The banker insists on going first, but has trouble coming up with a wish because he already has everything. Finally, he thinks about all the worker demonstrations there’ve been, protesting the bankers, and asks for a 20-foot high wall around Wall Street to keep the riffraff away. His wish is granted. The construction company owner, seeing a great business opportunity, wishes for the contract to construct the wall. His wish is granted. The autoworker asks if the wall will be strong and watertight. Of course, answers the builder: it will be incredibly strong and totally watertight. “OK,” the autoworker tells the genie, “fill it up.”
