A beautiful day down Kenfig and Sker today. Heres a snap I took of part of a horsey group trotting along the line of the Haul Road. When the complete party later galloped across the sands towards Sker Point they were quite a sight, but unfortunately my phone had died by then. Quite a lot of families were enjoying the beach, which in my opinion was looking very good, with quite a bit more sand in evidence recently. Unlike the dunes, which will soon have to be re-named Hawthorn Wood or similar unless something is done to restore the sand slacks. I suggest a sweep across the common with a hundred chain-saws followed by the release of, say, 1000 disease resistant hares and rabbits. As the Mem-Saab said If we do nothing our grand-kids will be proper townies with no idea how to play Best Faller. Still, we spent 3.5 hours out in the winter sun, without spending any money at all. And as the Mem-Saab said, The best things in life are free.
