A big asteroid will fly by Earth on Monday, but NASA says dont worry - well be safe. The asteroid is called 2004 BL86. Itll come within about 745,000 miles of Earth, or about three times as far away as the moon. And as far away as that seems, asteroid 2004 BL86 will be the closest known asteroid this large to pass near Earth until 2027. This asteroid is traveling at a speed of 35,000 miles-per-hour. It measures five football fields across and will be closest to Earth, and at its brightest, on Monday, Jan. 26 between 11:07 pm and 11:52 pm EST.
