A big congratulation to our North Hokianga Year 7&8 sevens team that played well today and came runners up in an 11 team tournament. You guys and gal were absolutely awesome, playing hard right down to the last minute and went down in the finals playing to the bitter end. Five more minutes and yous wouldve had it aye. A big thanks to Quinton Manuel and Ronnie Tamati who came down with Frank & I in support of our kids. We can look forward to the next tournament in Taipa on the 3rd April. Players were Mitkakau Morunga, Roscoe Mathews, Joseph Pomare, (Panguru School), Travis Dunn, Mikaere Martin, Sam Mathews, Ngareta Dunn (Mitimiti) Paora Proctor, Regan Skinner, Koroneihana Rangi, Tiari Samson, EJ Tamati (Broadwood School), Warren Tamati (Hata Maria). Results were as follows: Vs Taipa 40-0, Vs Taipa 45-0, vs Kawakawa 31-7, vs Rodney 12-20. As you can see they played well as a team and had a hard mean against Rodney. Never mind guys you can all hold your head high cause yous all did so well and were really proud of you. As soon as we get a pic from Nanna Ron or Quinn well put em up.
