A big moment for me. After building my Arch box, I am about 90% mimicking my workspace that I had in Windows. I just finished my first block of work without a single issue. Best of all is I am using literally half the resources. I have trimmed off 900+MB - almost a full GB of bloat. A major step to breaking away for Windows full time and only when WINE cant do what I need it to. A VERY rewarding process, and even though I have been using computers since 1983 (with a Commodore 64 that I still have) I have never learned so much about computers and my box. Just a word of encouragement for anyone else starting out. Keep at it - youll get there and it will be WORTH it. While I distro-hopped with a USB stick for about 6 months, this is my first full time distro. If a monkey like me can do it, anyone can!
