A bit about our workshop leader… Douglas Thompson, who is running our Studio Half Term Workshop has studied in New York, France, Spain and Italy in mask work techniques - including Commedia dellArte. He has delivered workshops over the last 15 years to schools, colleges, theatres and universities and teaches mask theatre practices with reference to leading practitioners, with in depth knowledge of many forms and genres of mask work. In this one day workshop, children will learn how to use their physicality to become a character, learning the fundamental basics of Commedia dellArte before putting them into practice with masks.
