A bit of Cabernet on the porch with friends, but I dont think its the wine talking: Listening to Miles Davis Kind of Blue in the background for the umpteenth time and I gotta say its new every single time. The first track, So What, just goes into this whole other narrative, building up to a crescendo that I hadnt been totally attuned to before and then comes back down to peaceful, and you dont even realize the emotional engagement in which youve just partaken. I had to come back in just to take it in all over again. Am I reading too much into this? Is this not the greatest recording ever? Nathan ConeLauren J ReedHarmony JonezBobbyLarashia Nina Ross JenkinsMike GreenbergMelissa LudwigCandie Lashay and other of my musical and/or creative/artistic friends: I need musical expert perspective on this matter. I need to know that I am not alone in believing this to be the greatest jazz album in the history of jazz albums. Ive having something akin to a spiritual experience here and I need someone to talk me down with real talk. Scott Williams , weve broached the subject before. What is it about this album? Chris Buley , youre very musical. Whats up with this album? Whats been your experience? Then you listen to Blue in Green, the third track, and it takes you somewhere else. Whats going on? This is marvelous all over again. Is it real?
