A bit stuck on this question as it seems to be within-subjects - so the only option is a Related t-test, but would that work with more than one independent variable? (May paper, 2011) Can anyone help? (psychology and the library are collectively destroying my will to live) 5.3. A researcher wants to study the relationship between a new type of depression medication and vitamin B, when measuring depression. A sample of 200 volunteers with depression received one of four depression medication doses (10, 25, 50 or 100 mg a day), for the duration of 4 months. Half of the volunteers were given vitamin B in addition to the depression medication, whilst the other half were taking depression medication only. The volunteers filled out a depression questionnaire before and after the 4 month period. Scores ranged from a minimum of 0 to a maximum of 30. The dependent variable was the difference in depression score from before to after. What test should the researchers use to ascertain whether level of depression is significantly affected by medication dose and/or vitamin B-intake? a) Pearson correlation b) Unrelated t-test c) Related t-test d) One-way unrelated ANOVA e) Two-way unrelated ANOVA
