A bittersweet day for sure.. My young man Owen Radke turns 11 today. Happy Birthday to you my sweet, stubborn boy. You were an answer to your Mamas prayers cried out for a year - that he would give us a son. He was faithful and obviously has great purpose for your life. Your Daddy was so very proud of you and would want you to take a hold of life with gusto and learn to face difficulties head on. Most of all, he would want you to know that significance is much more important than worldly success in this life - aim to love people more than the things of this world.. and do so knowing that Jesus love is what motivates you to do amazing things. He is your Father - Daddy was your earthly father for just a while - and what a privilege that was for both of you, but know your Father in heaven will always be with you. Mommy is so grateful for your sensitivity and compassion and your willingness to reach out to your friends. Im also so glad to have someone to cuddle with while you still can stand it:) Thanks for taking care of me these past two months. I love you bud.
