A blade is not sharpened with feathers. It is the difficult experiences in life that transform us. With difficulty comes transformation. The spiritual path is difficult, because we are called to surrender our attachments. Eventually even surrendering the ego, our sense of individual identity itself. It is with that surrender that something much greater comes. An identity is found much larger than anything you previously knew. It is Shivoham. Aham Brahmasmi. Identity as one with the Supreme.
