A blast from the past. At one time, in the very early days of the Internet, I created and managed one of the largest Disney fan sites on the Internet. I had a section dedicated to Disney jobs before Disney itself had one, and I struggled to get on their PR lists at a time when most PR pros had a dim view of online fan sites. I was invited to attend the Disney World 25th anniversary event, and I liveblogged from the event in 1996 (not that anyone called it that, yet.) I hauled a slow 486 laptop and a HUGE early digital camera around the park for the 25th anniversary, and each night I hand coded and uploaded via modem a new page to share the experiences and photos with my readers. It was a hell of a lot of work at the time (and I got very little sleep), but it was a lot of fun. Thanks to Archive.org, you can relive that 17-year-old experience still. (Click the Postscript to see photos of me at my thinnest--I had lost a lot of weight, and promptly put it on again. I hardly recognize myself!) web.archive.org/web/19991128081345/pages.prodigy/lampwick/25_media.htm
