A blessed Eid to all! Whether you celebrated Eid yesterday or today may Allah accept the fasts that we did and allow us to continue to receive the blessings that He showered upon us in the blessed days and nights of Ramadan. I hope by putting up this post I am not adding to the confusion and I am not opening an argument here. That is not my intention. I only do this because many are confused. People are now being told that Eid on Monday was wrong and everyone has to repeat the days fast. I would suggest that these issues should not be brought out to the public to add to their confusion in these times of rampant ignorance. If people accept the viewpoint of those scholars who discredited the South African sightings and want to repeat the days fast, then that is their choice and they are entitled to do so. However, those who followed the opinion of scholars who accepted the sightings are not wrong. So, please let us leave aside arguments at a time that the nation of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, is being crushed in front of our eyes whilst we are helpless and incapable of doing anything other than argue about these matters. Lord, show us the truth as the truth and allow us to follow it and show us falsehood as falsehood and keep us distant from it.
