A blessed walk, close to an equinox to equinox journey of 140 days - TopicsExpress

A blessed walk, close to an equinox to equinox journey of 140 days ended one year ago today. The forth ride of my long walk would bring me all the way home to Orleans. Thank you Steven D., Carole M., Jim W. and my boyhood friends Peter, Kenneth, and Ricky for bringing me to my beginning and safely home at the end. Some of the grandest things in my life occurred during my time on the timeless path of the Appalachian Trail, most of all, a simple reminder that we are never alone anywhere, not in the forest, or this world among the many in the universe. A close second, would be the kindness of and to strangers every step along the way, as my journal reflects, sharing takes up clearly 90% of our days! Had I made a short film of days of dazed and dazzling doings as I hiked, just for today, this one would reflect the image of the joy that comes from the blessings of faith realized in ourselves, those we love and god. To those hikers that completed the trail as the class of 2013, whether they began in the spring of that year or ten years earlier, wow! To those that will try again after a failure (or two or...etc) know that the journey only ends should you give up, and even then it may only be temporary. Thank you; Eric E.T. Timmerman for passing me along the way and passing the experience on to others. I shall dance with all my hiker and non-hiker friends, like no one is watching////strike that//// like all are watching my dance moves and my soul, so full of gladness that I hear grace playing my song! Love!
