A block from my apartment is an old ex-convent which is now used as a conference center, and I think you can rent rooms as in a hostel. In the former refectory of the convent is a wonderful Last Supper, modeled after Leonardos more famous one, even though the artist, Franciabigio, never saw the original in person, but likely a copy somewhere in Florence. This is from the early 1500s. Its free to view, you just walk in, and a friendly (and lovely) woman walks you back and unlocks the door, then leaves you alone to view the painting. Fantastic. Now I want to explore a couple more Last Suppers that are to be found in Florence.
