A blog post from Allie Popp who in Israel for 2 weeks with her 8th grade class, recalls her visit to the Western Wall and confirms for me how meaningful this experience can be: On Friday night, we walked to the western wall and got the chance to FaceTime with the Hausner middle school, sing, dance, and pray. Some of my classmates were able to share their experiences so far on the trip. It was really nice for the Hausner middle school to hear about the experiences the eighth grade was having. After everyone got to say hello, we all made our way to the Kotel. Even though we had been there the day before, it was an emotional moment for almost everyone. As I looked around, I saw there was hundreds of people from all over the world, all dancing and praying together as one. Once I was finished praying, I began to walk over to a huge circle of women, singing and dancing. Some of the girls participating in the excitement were my girlfriends. Immediately, I joined in and began to dance with complete strangers who were all singing the same songs we had learned at school. It was a truly amazing bonding experience that I will never forget.
