A brief note about being a proud LA band. It is tricky being on the road and telling folks where we are from as our musical gang lives all over our diverse metropolis. Often times when we say we are based in Venice Beach everyone goes right on! Its a fun bohemian place in peoples minds. But when you say we are from LA folks often give you the stink eye or a oh you think youre cooler than me huh reaction. Even though they have never visited once. Its odd that much of the country treats our hometown as a touchstone for wide-eyed envy (oh you live on the beach?) or more often immediate scorn (how you like all the bimbos and terrible traffic?). Truth is there is beauty and culture and kick ass music in every corner of LA - same as NYC and SF and Paris and Berlin. You gotta work a bit harder to find it maybe but LA is where folks from around the country come to make shit happen. To make dreams happen. Do they often come true? Depends.
