A brief rant .. I agree that ISIS is a threat to the US, our allies, and certainly to people in the Middle East. Al Qaeda never had the money, land, or military forces that ISIS now has. I am astounded that the president has ordered attacks on ISIS without seeking Congressional approval; or better said, I continue to be astounded, since he did the same thing with Libya in his first term. The Democrats in Congress don’t care about their Constitutional responsibility, including enforcement of the War Powers Act (which I support). The Democrats are completely corrupt: all they care about is victories for their party and increased power for the federal government. Where are the anti-war Democrats (and other leftists) who vehemently opposed the Iraq war under President Bush? Apparently, according to the left, preemptive war is fine as long as a Democrat president orders it. The current US airstrikes in Iraq and Syria can kill some ISIS fighters and equipment, but I don’t see how this would lead to the defeat or destruction of ISIS. President Obama does not have a plan to win, just as he had no plan for Libya or Yemen. He has easily surpassed Carter as the most incompetent president in my lifetime.
