A brother asked me to explain the anointing of Jesus. Here is what he wrote: Where is it located in the bible that Micheal annoints Jesus? Who is the Son of God among Micheal and Jesus. and You said Michael annoints Jesus and at the same time, u said Christ annoints Jesus. Sir Michael, please dont confuse people, because you are teaching is somehow against the Jesus of the bible. Michael, Gabriel and all other angels in heaven are ministering angel under Gods command. Thats why, God is called The Lord God of Hosts........ Then another brother asked me this question: Ok but my question is, Is it Jesus or Michael coming back? When Jesus was ascending to heaven an angel appeared to the disciples telling them the same way you see Him going tjhe same way He will come back so do you mean that scripture was a lie? Again He told the disciples that He wil come back so what do you mean by that I want to know please. My answer: The ascension of Jesus into heaven is recorded in Mark 16:19-20, Luke 24:36-53, Acts 1:6-12, and 1 Timothy 3:16. Forty days after his resurrection, Jesus called his 11 apostles together on the Mount of Olives, outside Jerusalem. Still not completely understanding that Christs messianic mission had been spiritual and not political, the disciples asked Jesus if he was going to restore the kingdom to Israel. They were frustrated with Roman oppression and may have envisioned an overthrow of Rome. Jesus answered them: It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:7-8, NIV) Then Jesus was taken up, and a cloud hid him from their sight. As the disciples were watching him ascend, two angels dressed in white robes stood beside them and asked why they were looking into the sky. The angels said: This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven. (Acts 1:11, NIV) Now, we understand that Christ was speaking through Jesus. It was Christ not Jesus. It is written that the apostles received the instructions to wait and receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit (the Holy Spirit comes on you; like the Spirit of the Lord is upon me....) Now at the end of times, Christ is back. First he will be hidden in a cloud (and a cloud hid him from their sight. and the angels said He (Christ) would be back hidden in a cloud) Is that scriptural? The coming of the son of man (Christ) will be hidden. Not noticed by the world. His coming is veiled in the clouds. Job 22:14 Yet you say, What does God know? Does He judge through such darkness? Thick clouds veil him, so he does not see us as he goes about in the vaulted heavens. Isaiah 5:30 In that day they will roar over it like the roaring of the sea. And if one looks at the land, there is only darkness and distress; even the sun will be darkened by clouds. In the last days, when the son of man will come, the Everlasting Covenant will be hidden in the clouds. Genesis 9:13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Genesis 9:16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.” 1 Thessalonians 4:17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. (the Bride will meet him, in the clouds) Revelation 10:1 And I saw another strong angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud, and the rainbow on his head; and the face of him was as the sun, and the feet of him as a pillar of fire. (clothed with a cloud = hidden) Mark 13:26 At that time people will see the Son of man coming in clouds with great power and glory. (people of God) Now let me tell you that a Son of man is an ordibnary man, and as far as i understand, a man cannot come from Spiritual heavens in a cloud (vapor over the earth) We are speaking of another kind of cloud Ezekiel 1:28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking. Here is another translation: [ The Angel and the Little Scroll ] Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven. He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head; his face was like the sun, and his legs were like fiery pillars. The word Christ means the anointing Spirit of God and Christ is not a name, but an attribute. Christ may take the name He wants. If Christ anoints a prophet, then the name of the prophet may be the name of Christ, during the prophet ministry. Remember that Christ speaks of His New Name. This New Name is revealed to overcomers (soldiers) Read Rev. 3:12 The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. This passage is linked with the fight of Michael and His angels from Rev. 12:7 Obviously, no theologian or Bible student can testify what is the New Name of Christ. About Michael, this name is a prophetic name related to the Spiritual people of Israel, where is the New Jerusalem. Here, we dont speak of the false nation of Israel in the Middle East, but we speak of the Holy People. It is recorded that Michael, is one of the chief princes” (Dan. 10:13). This Michael is referred to elsewhere in Scripture as an Archangel (Jude 9), an angelic being who apparently holds the highest rank in the Lord’s army. Angelic beings are Holy Ministering Spirits of God. And this include all angels even the Archangels. Hebrews 1:14 speaks of all angels. Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? Now, in Revelation 12:7, who is sent ? Michael. He is a Cherub (OT) or an Archangel (NT) He is the Chief prince who leads the Holy people and wages war. Now who is coming down to earth at the end of times with a shout of command? Read : 1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. The Lord Himself.... Christ, the Holy Anointing Spirit... You see? As far as I understand, a shout of command belongs to the army. When a military officer wants to use drill commands, like Squad attention or Open order march, he shouts the order. The Chief Officer does not speak it, he shouts the order, he shouts the command. This is Michael. The Voice of the archangel, the Lord (Christ) himself. Thats why, God is called The Lord God of Hosts........ Now when Jesus said The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,...tell me, who was Jesus Anointing Spirit? Well, you will say Christ the Holy Spirit was upon Jesus. And at that time Christ took the name of Jesus. When Jesus said he could command 12 legions of angels, who was speaking? Only an Archangel may say such thing.... Who do you think was anointing Moses? Jude 1:9 But even the Archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, The Lord rebuke you! You may say Christ was anointing Moses. And tell me, why the song of the overcomers who fought in Revelation 12:7 (Michael and his angels) is the song of Moses? And why is it said this song of victory is the same song as the song of the lamb (Jesus) ? You see? and (the overcomers) sang the song of Gods servant Moses and of the Lamb: Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the nations. Revelation 15:3 And who was fighting against the mind of the accuser (Satan) for the control of the body of Moses ? This occured during Moses lifetime.... Who controls the mind, controls the whole body.... Dont you see it? If you dont, well you have a problem..... And if after all these Scriptures and explanations, you dont understand, well I just recommand you to stay in the presence of God, covered by the blood of Jesus, just few hours and see for yourself... Remember, only overcomers will receive the revelation of the Lords New name... and this is 100% scriptural.
