A burglar posing as a Tenaga Nasional Bhd meter reader robbed and injured an 85-year-old woman at her home in Malim Nawar, about 36km from Ipoh, reported Sinar Harian. The paper said Temah Ibrahim was resting at her home when she heard a motorcycle stopping at her front gate at about 10am on Friday. She said the man demanded to see her electricity bill and when her back was turned, he grabbed her RM1,000 gold chain and pushed her to the ground. Speaking from a ward at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh, Temah said she could not lift herself up and had to wait for her daughter to return home. Her family called an ambulance and rushed her to the hospital where she was admitted with a broken thigh bone.
