A bush fire is burning in the Woodlands Road, Nabiac area. The fire is currently 170 hectares in size. A bush fire is burning in scrub land in the vicinity of Woodlands Road at Nabiac. The fire is moving east under strong westerly winds. It is currently burning in swampy scrub land to the west of the Wallamba River. Firefighters will work during the night to strengthen containment lines on the flanks of the fire. Strong winds are blowing smoke in an easterly direction towards Tuncurry. Residents will smell and see smoke from this fire throughout the night and tomorrow morning. Advice Monitor conditions in your area.
