A busy week after the fantastic UBL UK Birmingham Eid Mela last - TopicsExpress

A busy week after the fantastic UBL UK Birmingham Eid Mela last Sunday which certainly has gone down as one of the if not the best Mela in the country. Anyway no rest for the wicked, and i had several meetings during the week including the Support Services Review Programme Board, residents, and a visit to the St Chads & Queensway tunnels. The tunnels look awesome, and a job well done by AMEY. They are due to open tomorrow at 6am and are worth a drive thru. The LED lights make such a difference. I did my bit by spraying some cement, and assisiting with the painting. Have carried out a few house visits this week, and the bedroom tax is really kicking in. A number of tenants have put in house transfers but we dont have any smaller size properties so it is a catch 22. The best thin Labour could do is announce that we are to repeal the bedroom tax at the next election in 2015 !!
