A calm feeling of serenity has returned to Fawn Lake after almost 2 weeks of chaos following Maes (Mrs Sloans) health issues. Mae was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, with a subsequent stroke. Things were not looking good initially on November 5th when she was hospitalized with a stroke, urinary tract infection and fluid in the lungs, possible pneumonia. She has recovered enough to return to an assisted living complex with more staff than the last CBRF she was at. She was released from the hospital on November 12. She is alert, able to walk some. She speaks only a few words and speaks in a whisper now and has difficulty with her swallowing. She is weak and tends to sleep a lot. At this time, she has shown progress, but we know we need to go day by day to see how she does. If anyone would like to send her a card or note, she is at K-Care 12440 Warpath Lane Minocqua, WI 54548
