A candlelight vigil will be held in Brisbane this evening for Indonesian woman Mayang Prasetyo, who was killed and dismembered by her partner in their inner-city apartment last week. The life of Ms Prasetyo will be remembered at a public gathering at 5:00pm (AEST) at the Gazebo at New Farm Park. The president of the Australian Transgender Support Association Queensland, Gina Mather, said tonights vigil would reflect on the issues of domestic violence and support for the trans-community, given Ms Prasetyo was transgender.
