A capable crew of Troop 66 Scouts and leaders, Green Americorp and Luther College volunteers helped the Decorah Tree Board plant more than 40 trees along Montgomery Street on Saturday morning. Thanks to Mary Jane Michels for her suggestion to get the project going and to Meredith Borchardt from Trees Forever for being here to lead the planting, funded by an Alliant Energy Branching Out grant. The flowering trees will be wonderful in the Spring and in years to come!
