A certain Hermione Granger took great umbrage at my last posting, - TopicsExpress

A certain Hermione Granger took great umbrage at my last posting, saying that I was being unfair to J. K. Rowling regarding her writing a novel under another name. If Hermione would read something other than books at that exclusive private school she went to she would realize that the irony of the other names listed in my post were all best selling authors in their time who wrote mysteries or thrillers under another name because they wanted their reputations as serious authors not to influence or be influenced by what they had written just for fun. So, in order of the original listing, their real names were Louisa May Alcott, Gore Vidal, and Howard Fast. The final author mentioned wanted his Joan of Arc story to be taken seriously whereas his other works were at that time considered (by him) as entertainments. His real name was Mark Twain ( opps, I mean Samuel Clemens. And therefore Miss Granger, your threats of casting spells against me are unwarranted.
