A change is coming to our weather: A great relief to our HOT - TopicsExpress

A change is coming to our weather: A great relief to our HOT temperatures will come mid to late week as we begin a cool down in our daily highs. A persistent strong high pressure over the continental U.S. instead of over the Pacific Ocean, from persistent WARMER then average waters off the coast line, has allowed the Aluentian Low to produce larger then average lower pressures. One such low pressure will move southward come Thursday morning. In association with the low pressure, will come a strong upper level jet stream, placing Reno in upper level divergence and rising motion, coupled with an inland flow that brings northward moist air placing instability in our column. Thunderstorms will return mid week with a persistent partly cloudy scenario beginning Thursday. Temperatures will be reflected with this, as cooler air is placed in our vertical. Valley floors could see a high temperature in the eighties as this low pressure swings past Reno. The center of the low will remain far to the north in Canada, permitting only a slight possibility for some thunder storms to develop. Much more on this through the daily forecasts......
