This message is to alert you that a new release of the WMM will be available this December. The current model, WMM2010, will expire on Dec 31, 2014. The new operational World Magnetic Model (WMM2015) will be released on our website (url below) on Dec 15, 2014. The WMM2015 is developed using the most recent magnetic data and it accurately predicts the main magnetic field anywhere on the globe. We will also update our online WMM calculators on this date with some additional features. For example, the new WMM calculators will provide model uncertainty (error) for each magnetic field components. The new model will be valid from 2015-01-01 to 2019-12-31. The new WMM model file (WMM.cof) will have the same format as the current file and it will be compatible with your existing WMM software. The World Magnetic Model calculator is now available through our CrowdMag mobile apps.
