A child is a creature of innocence Formed by God in the mother’s womb. With the face of an angel they beckon in helplessness With cries that rip your heart, Sighs that steal your souls, And smiles that form from within joy itself. Not of this earth because it is pure and simple, Yet powerful beyond belief. It is only the unimaginable darkness within the human Heart that can harm such a wondrous thing as this, Because it not only diminishes us all, It wounds the very face of God!
