A chocolate lab showed up on our front porch about half an hour ago, throwing herself at our door and crying. We fed her some cat food, set her up a barrel with blankets to sleep in, and then retired back inside. Shes obviously had puppies (and we think has been nursing them very recently) and is very skinny... But she was friendly and obviously knew what inside was, as she almost bowled us over in her attempts to get in our house. Not sure where she came from, or where her puppies are, but I hope theyre ok. Well see if shes still around when we get up. If so, well try to track down her home.
