A christian family of 5 lived in a block of flats. Their dad was a very prayerful man. They prayed when they woke up,gave thanks at every meal and before retiring at nite. Across the hall,lived a widow who had 3 children. They were poor and at times went to sleep hungry. Their clothes were worn out. The christian dad would always end his prayers with the words Father,remember those who lack and provide for them too. Amen. One evening after prayer,their 8yr old son told his daddad,may I have your wallet? puzzled he gave the wallet. The boy removed a ksh 1000 note and went to the kitchen. He took a container and filled it with food that was still in the pots. He walked out and knocked at their poor neighbours door. He handed her the money and food. She shed tears and hugged him. The kids hadnt eaten for 2 days. God bless you so much,she said. When he went back,the family was stunned! Then the dad roared whats wrong with you?. The son replied politely dad,you have always taught us to share,Gods blessings and faith. We always have enough to eat and much left over. You pray for God to help that family but we do nothing to help. Didnt you say faith without works is dead?. Thats why i did that. The dad left the table in shame.
