A civilised country, more than enough food/housing/money for all citizens to live life comfortably, to thrive even but the few greedy tyrants who have the power refuse to share, preferring to keep the masses on the brink of malnutrition/starvation/eviction, far easier to control them then by using the media. Invent new ways for companies and big business to use the sick/disabled/unemployed via Workfare, thus reducing the numbers of those on the unemployment lists. One million using foodbanks, many of those asking for things which do not require cooking because they cannot afford the electric/gas required to use the cooker or theyve been cut off. One million and rising, employed and unemployed alike, cap in hand, begging for food, the former because they do not get paid enough and the latter for the same reason plus Sanctions=dwp cut or stop payments to claimants. One million PEOPLE, HUMANS like yourself, so desperately short of money they cannot afford to buy food once they have paid the rent and utility bills. Try not eating for a day, see how it makes you feel, how it makes you behave, no tea or coffee and maybe, just maybe it will be enough to make you write/email your MP and ask them why we have one million people begging for the food to exist in this country ? Not subsist or thrive... just enough to exist.
