A clip caught much of my emotion days ago about the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines and compelled me to do more than just praying. I came to understand that we all live in a moment and each moment has its opportunity. I think God is giving us an opportunity to live another day, another opportunity to better ourselves, an opportunity to show that we are a being of sympathy and good deeds. With all these uncertain feelings, I wanted to do more. To help in anyway I can. To give my fair share to my fellow men. On that very same day, I started a fund drive starting with myself, my family and some close friends. We identified with the needs of our stricken fellow men on their predicament and decided to call the drive Rebuild Philippines. We will accept donations and will have a transparent accounting of everything. the collected sum will be purchased food water and building materials that will be crucial for survival. These will be directly given to the community and not to any government official. I started a seed money to purchase some wristband with the slogan Rebuild Philippines for all of the individuals who wants to extend their support. The slogan comes with a Dove of Hope icon depicted in comparison to Noahs Hope in its despair, floating a midst uncertainty like most of our countrymen feel right now, after the biblical flood. Friends, please join us to become beacons of Hope on this desperate time. Join us support this cause. Be counted and share with everyone a part of yourself. Rebuild Philippines wristbands are now available. Please let me know if you will be able to help.
