A close friend (who I think I cant adore more, and she proves me wrong often) wrote a status that said something to the effect of watching someone you love fade slowly is painful and difficult...she wrote it much better than my paraphrase. She lost her dad today and it just hits me in the gut for her and her daughter. I truly believe that complaining is a waste of breath. Every word, if not spoken from a place of love, is a waste. Sure, we all waste our breaths to vent, its therapeutic at times, but I will do my best to remember that while I complain, someone else is taking their last breath...really puts everything into a completely different perspective. Especially as I watch my own dad decline further. I hope I have explained to him how much he means to me and how much I love him and that he remembers as he takes his last breath, whenever that time comes
