A colorful show of singing and dancing children preceded the inauguration ceremony of SOS children Village Thai Binh. The village comprises 14 family houses where orphaned children can grow up in a family environment. Minister of Labour & Social affairs, Mrs Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, mentioned the importance to Vietnam of the implementation of children’s rights. Dutch Ambassador Trooster enjoyed very much the warm welcome by the children. The women that will act as their “mothers” gave the Ambassador a tour through some of the newly built houses. Among the main donors were SOS Children’s Villages Netherlands and the foundation of Dutchman Harry Roels.
