A comment of Paulas about Cloverdale summersausage reminded me of an incident when I was working in Loveland, CO, years ago. A co-worker had relatives in Flaxton, and when she heard I was going to Crosby to visit my folks, she asked me to get her some Old Dutch potato chips. We had several people in the office from ND and MN out of over 100 employees. When I brought the chips for my friend, someone saw them and yelled Old Dutch! Where did you get Old Dutch?! Someone a little further down heard that and yelled Candys got Old Dutch?! and another person yet further yelled Whos got Old Dutch? Those chips created quite an uproar, and none of the other people had a clue what we were talking about. Cloverdale, Old Dutch....what are some other brands much loved back home that are unavailable where you live?
